Kim Wesley Warner, 56, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Brainerd, Minn.

Kim was born on Nov. 28, 1953, in Brainerd, Minn., to Clarence and Shirley Warner. He grew up, attended schools, and graduated high school in Brainerd. He went on to complete Chef School at Staples, Minn., Vo-Tech.

Kim worked as a chef and caterer at tourist lodges and resorts in Minne-sota, South Carolina, Colorado, and Alaska. Over his career he had the honor to cook for presidents and celebrities.

Kim married Dianna Lampton on May 21, 2000, in Delta, Colo., whom he affectionately nicknamed “Sam.”

The couple then moved to North Idaho, where Kim worked as a carpenter, and also as a chef in Hope, Idaho.

He was a mountain man at heart and enjoyed rendezvous, hunting, riding horses, wood working, and yard sales.

Kim is survived by his wife Dianna “Sam” Warner of Colburn, Idaho; two children, Jedidiah Warner of Crawford, Colo., and Nicole Warner of Billings, Mont.; two grandchildren, Rian Gress and Kristian Reed; parents, Clarence and Shirley Warner of Baxter, Minn.; and three sisters, Linda Bosch of Brainerd, Renee Warner of Billings, Mont., and Brenda Thibodo of Jenkins, Minn.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jessica Cook.
