Ann Elizabeth Higgins, 56

Ann Elizabeth Higgins, 56, passed away at her home in Clark Fork, Idaho, on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 9: a.m. on Thursday, June 24, in the family home, 6561 River Road, out of Clark Fork. A potluck will follow at the Clark Fork Ambulance barn in Clark Fork.

Ann was born in Coronado, Calif., on March 20, 1954, the daughter of Harry and Muriel Conner. She attended local schools and graduated from Coronado High School in 1973.

After high school she moved to Seattle, Wash., and lived there until 1986.

On Oct. 5, 1988, she married Stephen Higgins and they moved to Clark Fork. She worked as a certified nurse’s assistant in Sandpoint and as an emergency medical technician for the Clark Fork Ambulance. Ann loved to go horseback riding, shooting, and her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, of 21 years, Stephen Higgins of Clark Fork, Idaho; two brothers, Stephen Conner of San Diego, Calif., and Michael Conner of San Diego; a sister, Mary Phillips of Halton City, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Mark Conner.
