Abortion stance will keep Obama from greatness

| June 22, 2010 9:00 PM

Mr. Wright (May 27) speaks of climbing up the “mountain of moral right.” He lists men such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King who truly did make it to the top, and are remembered as great men. However, to list Barack Hussein Obama among these great men is an insult to American and all she stands for.

Mr. Wright says President Obama is struggling up that mountain to make a more perfect union for all of us.  Obviously though, “all” doesn’t include unborn children.  In less than two years, President Obama has earned himself the infamous title of the most pro-abortion president ever. He has repealed the Mexico City Policy, authorized taxpayer funding for abortions through the health care bill, and has promoted embryonic stem cell research — all of which have taken the lives of innocent children.

Greatness in the eyes of men will eventually fade away.  But real men like Washington and Lincoln, because they ruled in the fear of God, are great in the eyes of God, and that’s what really matters.  We know God holds a special place in His heart for children. Mark 10:14 says, “… Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for such is the kingdom of God.”

There are many reasons why President Obama isn’t a great man, but being pro-abortion is the first in importance.  He may be elevated to the top of a man-made molehill, but it’s going to crumble.
