PAS is a wonderful facility

Panhandle Animal Shelter is a wonderful facility!

After reading several recent articles in the Bee, and having never visited the new location, I took a few moments to stop in and see for myself. Congratulations to the folks who had the foresight to create such a wonderful establishment. Especially when one recalls their previous location, where I myself, was fortunate enough to find and adopt my wonderful CD.

The design is amazing, even to the sound berms constructed to the rear and sides of the facility to help muffle the sounds of pure joy as those four-legged furry critters are scurrying around in the sunshine thus giving the incarcerated innocents a chance to stretch their legs. … but, what’s this?

A disgruntled few are complaining of the noise — the sounds of dogs barking and children laughing above the noise of the highway and its many travelers in loud vehicles, motoring along with the many commercial trucks bustling on in their busy day.

Come now, lets not omit the other facilities in this general area that also may be contributing to the so called loud merriment, bet you might even be the person who gets upset at a crying baby in church. Be glad for the sounds of life and all its activity — silence is for eternity.

Take heart, and thank you, to all those who work and volunteer at the Panhandle Animal Shelter, we truly do appreciate all you do.
