Site shows teachers are not hurting at all

Undoubtedly, I am a day late and a dollar short regarding the school levy. I am sure that those who voted for it are glad there will be sports next year and you will be able to attend all the football and basketball games that you so look forward to.

Those of you who voted for the levy also voted to ensure school staff does not have pay cuts. After all, teachers do get paid something terrible. At least that is what I thought until I went to a website called ouridaho.com. I encourage all of you to look at it. You will find the pay or yearly salaries of all employees in education in Idaho at any school district.

It is interesting to see that in the West Bonner County School District, one of our teachers gets paid less than the superintendent and more than our principals. Looking at other salaries, some are not doing too bad for only working 190 days a year. I’d like the same pay for only working that many days and I would like taxpayers to make sure I don’t get a pay cut as I did last year.
