Trade association installs officers, directors

SANDPOINT — Panhandle Building Contractors Association, a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting and protecting the local building industry, recently installed new officers and board members for 2010. 

Traveling from Southern Idaho to perform the installation duties on Jan. 27 was Ron Whitney, current president of the Idaho Building Contractors Association. 

Installed as officers were Sean Gavin, president; John Knowles, vice president; Lisa Moline, secretary; Kevin Kluendner, treasurer; and Wayne Meaux, past president.

Installed as directors were: Doug Smith, builder director; Scott Schriber, builder director; Erick Miller, builder director; Sheila Toldness, associate director; Jon Sayler, associate director; Larry Jeffres, associate director; and Larry Dehart, associate director.

The night’s festivities also included a presentation by Sue Baldwin of Avista on various rebate programs Avista has in place for builders and homeowners. The rebates revolve around energy conservation measures related to building practices, materials and appliances.
