Farm Bureau Financial Services hosting free workshop

| March 9, 2010 8:00 PM

SANDPOINT — In today’s economy more people are doing what they can to plan for an uncertain future.  To help meet that need, Kendon Perry of Farm Bureau Insurance and Financial Services is hosting a workshop that will address issues such as risks one faces when funding retirement while still doing what they can to preserve assets of one’s estate.

“Farm Bureau Insurance is fortunate to have a number of professionals as support staff in our home office,” said Perry.  “The March 18 seminar will feature attorney Blake McKibbin, who will present timely strategies for planning and choosing wisely for the future of one’s business.”

The workshop will focus specifically on vital estate and business strategies for those who desire to keep their business in the family for the next generation.

“A successful family business transfer takes careful planning and effective teamwork,” said Perry.  “This workshop will address strategies for planning including the tax implications of ones strategy and a timely discussion on the Estate Tax Reform Bill.”

McKibbin will also be available to set an appointment to meet with attendees – at no cost - on an individual basis if they desire.

The workshop will be at 11 a.m. on  Thursday, March 18, at Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Ponderay.

Attendees will be served lunch and there is no cost or obligation to attend, but reservations are required.
