Frequency proposal is a needless expense

It appears that Commissioner Joe Young is going to push 700MHz right down our throats if we don’t look at the cost in these economic times.

The county will pay for a road to the top of Gold Mountain, over land we will either purchase or lease for the use thereof. The county will pay for a power line up to the top of Gold Mountain. A building at the top of Gold Mountain. All maintained by Bonner County, for years to come for a system that we don’t need. This cost in these economic times is borderline idiotic. You see there is no income from this taxpayer outlay … any expenditure should have some expectation of a return on our money.

Please tell the state thanks but no thanks on the grant …
