Wampus Cats take down Coeur d'Alene Charter
COEUR d’ALENE — The visiting Wampus Cats took 7 of 11 pro-set matches to win a tennis dual with Coeur d’Alene Charter on Wednesday at Cherry Hill Park.
Kandice Daniels scored a solid win at No. 1 girls singles, and the doubles teams of Chelsea Macumber and Shaina Gustafson on the girls side, and Nate Nesbitt and Stillman Berkley on the boys side each registered solid wins at No. 1 doubles.
Coeur d’Alene Charter No. 1 Steven Hallgren built a 5-0 lead and had to hold on late in an 8-6 decision as Nesbitt nearly came back for the win at No. 1 boys singles.
