'Road kill' legislation deserves support

I’m writing in response to a recent article I read on the “road kill” bill by Rep. Dick Harwood’s, R-St. Maries.

Being a delegate at the 2010 Know Your Goverment conference, I met Mr. Harwood and heard countless stories of citezens wanting to clean up road kill, but not being able to because of previouse laws and restrictions.

The purpose of this bill is to allow hunters with trapping or hunting licenses to “salvage the fubearers” meaning to harvest the hide. I suggest that the meat be alowed for harvedt if it is still edible as well. I am writing in support of this bill and wish the best of luck to Mr. Harwood as he works to get it passed.
