What is an American?

| March 29, 2010 9:00 PM

Some people are not proud to be an American. I don’t know what they think is wrong with the way our country was founded, but many people have tried to become part of our country for quite a while. It must look good to them.

Other systems like socialism or communism have failed to provide for their citizens what our system of government has been able to provide through the years.

Our President has surrounded himself with socialists, communists, and radicals of almost every species. He has promised that he would “Fundamentally transform the United States of America”. It is one of the few promises he made that he intends to keep.

I, for one, am proud to be a citizen of the greatest government plan that has so far been developed and don’t see why those who are unhappy here don’t move to Russia, Cuba, Venezuela or any other country of their choice where they can be happy.

We are being transformed. Our government is taking over large chunks of our industries. It has put us into a huge financial debt position. It is alienating our allies and befriending our enemies.

Those of you who think they would like what socialism or communism would lead us to, should look to history, and remember the millions murdered under those forms of government and the comparative squalor of those that remained.

It is time for all who care to rise up and fight back!
