Program celebrates local train history

On Friday, May 7, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., the city of Sandpoint Historic Preservation Commission will be offering a free program at the Community Hall  about Sandpoint train history. This program will include three speakers (10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.) and numerous displays provided by individuals and the Bonner County Museum. Funding for the program is from the Idaho Humanities Council as a part of Idaho Archeology and Historic Preservation Month. Evans Brothers Coffee is providing coffee and Daughters of the American Revolution will be providing cookies for the evening presentation.
