Fisher powers Bulldogs 10-6 win over Bears
MOSCOW — Ben Fisher hammered a home run and double among his three hits, and threw three scoreless frames on the mound to lead Sandpoint to a 10-6 win in the first game of a 4A North doubleheader Tuesday at Moscow High School.
Tevin Hamilton ran his record to 3-2 on the season, despite giving up four runs in the first inning before settling down. The Bulldogs (9-7, 3-2 4A IEL) scored three runs in the first, second and fifth frames to provide plenty of run support.
Nick Halpin and Eric Nikssarian each ripped two hits, and Tommy Jacobs added a double as the Bulldogs scored in double digits for the third consecutive game.
The games were delayed, and the nightcap was still in progress at press time.
Sandpoint hosts the Bears in a doubleheader on Friday at 4 p.m.
