Mary Nuttman-Ackerman, 51
Mary Nuttman-Ackerman, 51, passed peacefully into the arms of God at home on Saturday, May 1, 2010, following her battle with brain cancer.
Mary Eliabeth was born Jan. 209, 1950, in Raymond, Wash., the daughter of Dorothy and George Seubert. She was raised in Cottonwood, Idaho, where she graduated from Prairie High School and attended Spokane Community College.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald C. Nuttman of Cottonwood in 1985. She later married James R. Ackerman of Grangeville, Idaho, on Aug. 19, 1989.
They built their home in Elmira, Idaho, and raised their family. She worked at the Elmira Store, where she was a favorite among the regulars. After divorcing in May 2009, she moved back to the prairie.
May was a lady of many talents. She was known for her amazing cooking abilities. She had a love for gardens and would spend hours tending to them. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid yard sale attendee.
Mary had a giving heart and loved to share her home. If you had a listening ear she would share her many words of faith.Ever since perfecting the art of rosary making, she handed them out with love.
Her greatest joy was her family and they were always her primary focus.
She is survived by her children, Michael and Samantha Nuttman, Heidi and Brent Lockhart, Rhonda Nuttman, Britany Ackerman and Nicholas Acerman; and her grandchildren, Baylee Nuttman and Walter Lockhart.
The rosary will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. In celebration of Mary’s life, a funeral will be held Friday, May 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Keuterville Cemetery . A luncheon will follow at the Keuterville Hall. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Reiner’s Grocery in Cottonwood for the luncheon.
A memorial service and gathering will also take place on May 11, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the Naples Inn in Naples, Idaho, for those unable to attend the services in Cottonwood.
