Currie cards season low; earns berth to state tourney

TWIN LAKES — Senior Conner Currie picked the perfect time to shoot his best round of the year, finishing birdie-birdie for a sizzling 78, good for second place overall and an individual berth at state next week, leading Sandpoint at the 4A Region 1 tournament at Twin Lakes Village.

Ashlie McIntire and Jessie Webster-Merwin each shot 94 to lead the Bulldog girls, who didn’t qualify anyone for state.

Moscow’s boys and girls won team titles, claiming the lone team berths to state, scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday at Twin Lakes Village.
