Young hasn't earned a return trip to office

As Joe Young goes around crowing about how he “solved” the Green Owl problem, I can only say, “excuse me?” By secretly purchasing an unsuitable parcel in the first place, Joe is the one who created the problem — it was only the hard work and dedication of the Green Owl Citizens Advisory Committee that brought a resolution.  Joe attended only one meeting, and his input was minimal — as a member of the committee I know this first-hand.

Jumping in at the last minute to steal the credit is classic Joe Young — so I’m not really surprised. And isn’t it convenient that it is coming to a resolution at the same time as the primary election? Maybe some of those county delays during the committee process were planned, to slow things down so he could use it as an election issue? Who knows? But with all the arrogant boasting he is doing about it now, it makes me wonder.

Joe Young didn’t find a solution — we did. And now, he’s cleverly exploiting it for his re-election campaign. Can anyone say “grandstanding?”
