Alice Mae Ewing, 81, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on May 16, 2010.
Memorial services are pending with urn placement in the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.
Alice Mae Schultz was born in Wallace, Idaho, on May 16, 1929, the daughter of Elmer and Mina Schultz.
The family lived in Valley, Wash., moving to Bonners Ferry in 1945.
Alice graduated from Bonners Ferry High School and married Darrell Ewing, in Moscow, Idaho, on April 18, 1948.
Alice lived in Bonners Ferry until 1962 when she moved to Colburn, Idaho, and then to Sand-point, Idaho, in 1977.
She had worked at the Norway Lodge, Western Auto in Sandpoint, and later for Ryder Truck Rental.
Alice was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Aerie No. 589, Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, of 63 years, Darrell Ewing of Sandpoint; three sons, Paul Ewing of Rathdrum, Idaho, Ken Ewing of Beaverton, Ore., and Keith Ewing of Sandpoint; three grandchildren, Kristy, David, and Shila; and 1 great-granddaughter Kailey.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dale and Lloyd; and a sister, Valdine.
