Don't return to the past, retain Clemons

The year before Jerry Clemons became county assessor, county residents were stunned and outraged at having received assessments on their properties often twice as high in value as their assessments had been the year earlier.

The county commissioners were overwhelmed by the number of appeals they received and had to turn to the state for help. It was a clear case of the Assessor’s office being totally out of touch. 

Fortunately we had the good sense that year to elect Jerry Clemons to the office. Jerry has done a remarkable job. He has returned the Assessor’s office to sanity.

He is hard working, competent, and an official who has the experience and knowledge to do this job.

I will vote for Jerry Clemons for assessor.  I do not want a return to the past.?
