Edward R. Walson, 63

Edward R. Walson, 63, a United States Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2010, at his home in Gretna, La., after a brief illness with cancer.

Ed’s wife Elaine, family and much loved dogs were by his side.

Ed is survived by his wife, Elaine of 25 years; a son, Christopher; and daughter, Merilynn; his sisters, Karen, Jannice and Lorraine; his brothers, Brian and Bruce; and his grandchildren, Parker, Dylan, BreeAnn and Mikayla.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nadine.

A memorial service is planned for Monday, May 24, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Mater Dolorosa Church, 1230 S. Carrollton Ave. in New Orleans, La.
