William Dale 'Bill' Brockway, 81

William Dale “Bill” Brockway, 81, passed away peacefully in the evening of May 22, 2010.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 28, in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Bill was born in Circle, Mont., on July 16, 1928, the son of William and Helen Brockway. He grew up in Montana, graduated from high school and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On June 18, 1950, he married Agnes M. Kleven and she preceded him in death in May of 1993.

He dedicated most of his life to the sawmills, as a saw filer, in the United States and Canada. He married Ruby (Lund) Bristow on Sept. 24, 1994 in Sagle, Idaho. They lived in Canada for 8 years and then returned to Sandpoint, Idaho.

He was a loving, caring man who loved his family and friends greatly. He will be sorely missed by all.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ruby Brockway of Sandpoint, Idaho; six children, Donald R. Brockway, Tina M. (Garnet), Nancy K  (Luke) Baribeau, Bernard J. Brockway, Gary E (Susan) Bristow and Rodney (Barb) Bristow; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beaulah (Ted) Brittenham; and a brother, Dean Brockway.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph.
