New political giant is struggling up mountain

| May 27, 2010 9:00 PM

Consider the giants in American history, the ones who against popular revolt climbed the mountain of moral right.

On top of this mountain you will find George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Martin Luther King, and Lyndon Johnson. They fought the good fight for the common people — even while many of the common people opposed them.

There is another giant now struggling up that mountain. His name is Barack Obama. Reviled by many — as a communist, socialist, Islamic and others — he continues up the mountain for the purpose of creating a more perfect union for all of us.
