Children's taekwondo and self defense class offered

SANDPOINT — A children’s self defense course, taught by Sandpoint Taekwondo, begins its first session of the winter on Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 3:15 to 4 p.m. at Sandpoint Taekwondo (675 Kootenai Cutoff Road, in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center). 

The course includes two additional lessons later in the same week and is open for children ages 5-12 years-old. The class teaches basic self-defense skills and highlights the importance of self-discipline in a child-friendly setting.

The class fee is $20 ($2 discount for city residents) and  includes three lessons and a uniform. Preregister by Saturday, Nov. 6 at Sandpoint Parks and Recreation, 1123 Lake St.
