Flashing light needed to warn of moose

| November 2, 2010 7:00 AM

Regarding the guardrail on Highway 200, I would like to make one additional point. — five years ago I came with in a second or two of T-boning a moose south of Salmon Creek Road. This has happened twice.

Since that time I called the Idaho Transportation Department and after talking to a person with a “I have a life-time job” attitude government employee, nothing has been done.

I contacted and explained this to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office for four years without result.

It is just a matter of time and playing the odds there is going to be a fatality of mega proportions. I will be the first to testify for the defense.

I do not think a flashing yellow light warning of moose crossing is out of the question.
