CLARK FORK — An adult white male was discovered in a mobile home that was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning, Bonner County Sheriff’s officials said.

Positive identification of the victim was pending on Thursday afternoon, although Det. Sgt. Gary Johnston said the man’s identity could be released today. An autopsy is also planned for today.

Johnston said there were no obvious signs of foul play. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

“They’re still digging around out there,” he said.

Deputies and fire personnel from Clark Fork responded to a report of an occupied single-wide mobile home at about 4 a.m., sheriff’s officials said. The home was located at 586 Cascade Creek Road northeast of town.
