Doris Lucille Lloyd, 92, of Sandpoint, Idaho, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Valley Vista Care Center.
Private family services will be held at a later time in California.
Doris was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Sacramento, Calif., the daughter of Jess and Ruby Tucker. She was raised and educated in Sacramento.
In 1951, she married Willard F. Lloyd in Sacramento and, in 1952, they moved to Vacaville, Calif., where together they raised sheep on her husband’s family home ranch.
Even while being actively involved in raising sheep she worked as an executive secretary.
Fol-lowing Willard’s death she moved with her daughter and family to Sandpoint, where she has since resided.
\While here she was involved with the Bonner General Hospital Auxiliary.
She was an avid master bridge player and throughout her life excelled as a seamstress, knitting, and crocheting.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Bonnie L. (Jim) Lackey of Sandpoint; two granddaughters, Cindy Lackey of Eugene, Ore., and Tammy (John) Baird of Salem, Ore.; a great-grandson, J.B. Baird; a brother, Jess Tucker, and a sister, June Amburn, both of Sacramento, Calif.; a dear life friend, Zelma Foster of Chico, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews in the Sacramento area.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; a sister, Myrtle Milholland; her parents and a sister-in-law, Ruth Tucker.
