BCSO investigation has made us safer

Recently, the Daily Bee printed an article informing us that our sheriff, Daryl Wheeler, had coordinated a long and difficult, behind-the-scenes investigation of illegal gang activities while we slept. We may never know the far-reaching positive effects of this roundup.

Motorcycle gang activity does not rely on 9 to 5 punching the clock for support. No, it is you and I and our children who pay for their lifestyle and it begins with stealing, using, buying and selling narcotics and then, like a cancerous growth, they recruit others of like mind and the operation spreads. They do not care who they hurt and are only thinking of their degenerate lifestyles.

I know from which I speak because I was in Los Angeles during the early growth of the Hells Angels and Satan’s Slaves motorcycle gangs. We watched their illegal activities grow from minor to major thefts, mayhem, auto thefts, rapes, buying and selling narcotics and their use, major assaults and murder. This is their lifestyle and their crimes are not one-time events, they are continuous.
