Floyd Howard Bailey was born June 13, 1935, in Aitkin, Minn.,  to Howard and Esther Bailey. Floyd passed peacefully in his home in Caldwell, Idaho, on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Floyd’s life at Celebrate Life Church, located at 16099 N. Franklin Blvd. in Nampa, Idaho, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family through their online tribute page at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com

Floyd leaves behind a loving family of four children, Wendy, Randy, Tim and Dan. He also leaves 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two poodles.

Floyd attended auctioneer college and owned auction houses in Minnesota and Northn Idaho. He also obtained his teaching certificate and taught elementary school all while raising his family. He enjoyed coaching all sports for his own children and students.

Later in life, Floyd decided to attend clown college and dedicated himself to being a healing clown, where he visited local hospitals for children and the elderly. Discovering his passion as “Peppy the Clown,” the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus, he built a trackless train and drove it to give kids rides at fairs and local events.

Floyd was an accomplished artist wood carver and hunter but most of all he loved being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He was a member of the Star Senior Center, where he previously enjoyed driving the van for them. Lastly, he loved making the 70-plus greeting cards a month for his family and friends — we will miss him dearly.
