Duane M. Stolley

Duane M. Stolley passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at his home in Naples, Idaho, after a four-year battle against melanoma cancer.

Duane was born Aug. 3, 1962, to Don and Edith Stolley, in San Diego, Calif. While in his senior year of high school he joined the National Guard. After that he moved on to work at General Feed and Grain.

Duane then worked as a carpenter for Keith Denning. For several years after carpentry he worked in the local sawmills of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Naples.

Duane was also a member of Boundary Search and Dive Rescue for many years.

Duane spent the last portion of his life in the loving care of his brother, Darryl and wife Sue, in their home in Naples.

Duane was preceded in death by his father, Donald Stolley, in April 2010. He is survived by mother, Edith Stolley of Moyie Springs, Idaho; children, Duane (Bud) Stolley and Amanda Duke, Danny Stolley, and April Stolley, all of Bonners Ferry, and Jeremy Stolley of Wasilla, Alaska; his brothers, Donald Jr. and Gina Stolley of Bonners Ferry, Darryl and Sue Stolley of Naples, and Dale and Lesia Stolley of Spirit Lake, Idaho; seven grandchildren; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends around the community.
