Alan Beaulieu

Alan Beaulieu passed away on Oct. 28, 2010, at 11:45 a.m. in Calgary, Canada.

Alan was born on Oct. 4, 1948, in Fall River, Mass. He was the son of Louis A. Beaulieu and Dorilda Turgeon Beaulieu and grew up in North Attleboro, Mass.

He moved to California in 1963, graduated from high school and then graduated from Citrus College. He taught a course in business management at Citrus College for a number of years and then went on to become a college bookstore manager at Citrus College and then at Cerritos College.

He retired and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in August 2003, where he became involved in volunteering for the Panhandle Animal Shelter.

Alan is survived by his sister, Phyllis Barrows; brother-in-law, Dr. Howard S. Barrows; four nieces; eight grandnephews; two grandnieces; a great-grandnephew; seven cousins; his dog, Chucky; and many friends. Alan’s family would like to extend thanks to his three close friends, Harry, George, and Ryan for their considerable help and thoughtfulness during this difficult time.

Alan will be remembered as fun-loving, a tireless humanitarian, dedicated dog rescuer and a loving brother, uncle, cousin and good friend.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 17,  at11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, located at 601 S. Lincoln Ave. in Sandpoint.
