Trinity at City Beach named chamber's top business

SANDPOINT — Trinity at City Beach has been honored as the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s “business of the month” in November for its generosity in the community.

Located at 56 Bridge St. on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, next to Sandpoint’s famous City Beach, Trinity at City Beach is Sandpoint’s premier waterfront dining experience.

After vacationing with family members in Sandpoint for several years, Justin Dick moved his family from Denver, Colo., in 2007 and shortly thereafter reopened Trinity at the new 56 Bridge St. location.

Now in its second year of operation, owner Justin Dick and wife Shaunavee stay busy serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

When not busy in the restaurant, Justin also manages to find time to give back to the community through various donations and fundraising activities.

Trinity at City Beach has generously donated food and their time to such events as CHaFE 150, Harvest Ball, Holly Eve and Panhandle Alliance for Education. They have contributed in fund raising events for Team Laughing Dog’s Race Across America battling autism, Yappy Hour for the Panhandle Animal Shelter, and Bonner Community Food Center.

“As a small business owner in Sandpoint, I feel obligated to help identify the needs of this growing, ever-changing community as well as create relationships with like-minded individuals. My employees share this same view and are eager to donate their time volunteering and organizing various community activities,” Justin Dick said.

Trinity at City Beach is also the only restaurant in North Idaho to participate in the UNICEF Tap Project.

The project born in New York City is based on a simple concept: restaurants would ask their patrons to donate $1 or more for the tap water they usually enjoy for free, and all funds raised would support UNICEF’s efforts to bring clean and accessible water to millions of children around the world.

The restaurant is also hosting Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and $2 from every entrée sold will be donated to the Bonner Community Food Center.

The restaurant offers a full service catering experience, including hosting your event on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, with the majestic Cabinet Mountains providing a breath taking vista above the lake.

Trinity At City Beach officials said they can cater almost any event, including weddings, birthdays, business luncheons, holiday parties and more.

With the ability to customize menus to taste and preferences, Justin  Dick said he and his staff will provide any event with a premium catering experience.
