Couple dies in U.S. 95 crash

COEUR D'ALENE — The Idaho State Police say a Post Falls couple died and their 16-year-old son was injured in a collision on snow-covered U.S. 95 south of Coeur d'Alene.
Police say 54-year-old Kenneth Gollnick lost control of the Pontiac Grand Am he was driving and the car slid into oncoming traffic and was struck in its side by a Chevy Trailblazer.
Police say he and 48-year-old Joy Gollnick of Post Falls died from injuries in the crash that happened about 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Police say Daniel Gollnick was a passenger in the car and was taken to Kootenai Medical Center.
Police say the driver of the Trailblazer, 52-year-old John Orvik of Post Falls, was also taken to Kootenai Medical Center.
