Plaster, Moe lead Bulldogs to sweep of Vikings

SANDPOINT — Blake Plaster had 13 digs and two aces and Ariel Moe 16 set assists to lead Sandpoint to a straight set 25-23, 25-20 and 25-14 sweep of Coeur d’Alene in nonleague volleyball action Tuesday night at Les Rogers Court.

While happy her team came away with the win, Sandpoint (7-4) head coach Karen Alsager felt it wasn’t that impressive in nature. Alsager was pleased to get newcomers Maddie Russo and Hailey Olin some varsity seasoning. Sam Buratto led the Bulldogs with seven kills and Ashley Shepard tallied six.

Kylie Curtis had six kills, six assists and three aces and Ashley Hammons six digs and six assists in defeat for the Vikings (8-14), who never seemed to find a rhythm offensively.

Sandpoint is at the Crossover Classic in Spokane on Saturday.
