SANDPOINT — Boosting customer service can boost your bottom line as well.

Thanks to a TGIF workshop, “Improving Profit through Customer Service,” you can get the information you need to begin immediately.

The workshop, offered by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce’s business development committee, will be held Friday, Oct. 15, at the Holiday Inn Express in Ponderay. Covering a variety of business topics, these workshops are designed to provide essential resources and skills to develop entrepreneurship and the community’s workforce.

In this workshop, instructor Bill Jhung, director of the Idaho Small Business Development Center, provides a 90-minute workshop on attaining superior customer.

“It’s a new economy,” he said. ”Markets have diminished and we may not see the likes of the pre-recession market activities for a long time. Competition will increase in intensity. Customer expectation and behavior have changed dramatically. In this economy, the key to building a business that is both profitable and sustainable is delivering more than what customers expect.”

Bill Jhung holds an MBA degree with a focus in finance and entrepreneurial mnagement and leads the Idaho Small Business Development Center at the North Idaho College. Jhung and his team facilitate leadership development by providing leadership, business training and personalized coaching for business owners.

Advance registration and prepayment are required. The cost is $15 for Chamber members, $20 for non-members and includes a boxed lunch. Workshops are held once a month on Fridays from noon to 1:30 pm.  To view the workshop series schedule or register online, visit SandpointChamber.com or call (208) 263-2161.
