Money could have helped families more

| October 10, 2010 7:25 AM

Mr. Obama has not represented “we the people.” In 2009, Mr. Obama pledged $11 trillion for stimulus money (indebting us to China). That stimulus money went to bankers, insurers and large corporations, saying it would save/create jobs; people would spend money. Did that happen? No.

Had Obama given the stimulus dollars to every woman, man and child in the country, ($11,000,000,000,000

307,006,550 U.S. population) every one would have received $35,829. A family of four would have received $143,319. THAT would have stimulated the economy and reduced foreclosures. Instead, Obama orchestrated that our hard-earned tax dollars go to his friends, and big industry.Republicans and Democrats in Washington, D.C., continue to abuse their power for personal wealth and fame. They lie, take credit for what they do not deserve and blame others for their bad decisions. Last week Obama told the nation that the great recession is over. Really? Tell that to the 9.5 percent unemployed and those in foreclosure. Anyone defending Obama’s actions must live in a vacuum.

The so-called “extreme right” which liberals say the Republicans cater to, are people like me. We believe that less government is better, self sufficiency is good, government regulating everything is bad, disallowing profiling is illogical and our current methods of social justice are ineffective. Not agreeing with one black person does not make me a racist.Use this upcoming election to take back our country which gave us freedom, justice and the American dream. Let’s elect people of patriotism, honor and integrity.
