Dawn Florence Becker, 65

Dawn Florence Becker, 65, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in California.

Dawn was born on Aug. 23, 1945 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Bernard and Louise Brown. She grew up and attended schools in San Jose, Calif., and graduated high school at Samuel Ayre High School in Milpitas, Calif. She went on to attend dental hygienist school.

Dawn married Richard Cordova on Nov. 4, 1966. She worked as a dental assistant before starting a family. She and Richard later divorced.

She spent most of her adult life in Marin County working as a real estate agent. She later moved to Oregon and earned her broker’s license. In August, she moved to Sagle, Idaho, to be closer to her daughter.

Dawn was a member of the CASA Group in Marin County. She was an avid gardener and loved her roses. She enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and traveling. She will be remembered for her good sense of humor and for being a good friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Monique Cordova (Colin Cox) Sagle, Idaho; son, Barry Cordova of Oakdale, Calif.; two grandchildren, Christopher and Ethan; a sister, Sherry (Jim) Lay of Redmond, Wash.; a step-brother, Ronald McIntosh of Volcano, Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews, including Tara Enstrom and Doug Lay.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister,  Linda Lauzonis.
