We won't see the danger until it is far too late

Joel W. Risch asks when we will stop cowering in fear of Muslims and stand up for what we believe in, (Daily Bee, Sept. 19). The answer? When it’s too late.

Many years ago a travelling side show known as the Southern Poverty Law Center pulled into North Idaho to elevate a case of second degree assault into one of the area’s premier, Soviet-style show trials against a befuddled old man by the name of Richard Butler.

When the dust settled, lawyers for the prosecution left town with bulging wallets, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief with the demise of the Aryan Nations compound. Finally, we were no longer a bunch of racists.

And today, aided by a compromised and blindfolded media, the most ignorant and gullible electorate in history is cowed by cries of “racism” when anyone disagrees with a bi-racial president who also happens to be a self-described Muslim.

Meanwhile in New York, a two-bit hustler masquerading as a “holy man” is muscling his way into erecting a rabat (a victory mosque) near ground zero.  Those who object are called racists.

So when Muslims come to Sandpoint, we will be “diverse.” When they put up prayer towers and broadcast their prayers over a public address system five times a day, we will be “tolerant.” When Walmart starts selling prayer rugs we will be understanding. When a wife is raped by her Muslim husband and is set free by the dictates of Islamic law, it will be too late.
