Thunder volleyball team wins three

SANDPOINT — The Kootenai Thunder varsity volleyball team beat Country Christian School from Southern Idaho 25-22, 26-24 and 25-21 in a non-league home game recently.

The Thunder followed that win up by beating the Christian Heritage Patriots, from Edwall, Wash. in three games, 25-9, 25-3, 25-12. Then they won again over the Pullman Christian Eagles at Pullman in three games, 25-15, 25-6, 25-13.  

The Thunder boys soccer team lost 9-3 against the Christian Heritage Patriots last week at Centennial Field in Sandpoint. The Thunder’s David Currie scored in the first half on a penalty kick. Jonathan Ringhand scored in the second half, assisted by Taylor Jensen. Taylor Jensen added the final goal in the second half.

The Thunder then fell to the Pullman Eagles 7-1 in Colfax, Wash. Shepley Osman scored the Thunder’s only goal in the game.
