Bill Hildreth, 91

Dorrence “Bill” Hildreth, 91, of Sandpoint, Idaho, died Oct. 12, 2010, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

He was born March 28, 1919, in Sandpoint, Idaho, the son of Edward and Mary (Martin) Hildreth.

Bill served with the U..S. Army during World War II.

He married Wilma Fromm on July 28, 1945, in Sandpoint.

Bill was employed as a construction inspector on hydroelectric projects for Stone and Webster Engineering of Boston, Mash., the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the SP & S Railroad.

He moved with his wife to Hayden, Idaho, in 1968, where he served on the board of directors for the Avondale Irrigation District.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma, in 2005. He is survived by a son, Edward Hildreth of Tumwater, Wash.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, in Coeur d’Alene.

Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene.
