Bonner General announces wellness offerings
In these economic times when we’re all looking for good values, here’s a great one: the chance to get valuable healthcare information from trusted resources, absolutely free. Two opportunities are happening at Bonner General Hospital in the next week that you won’t want to miss.
Tonight, the Bonner General Hospital Foundation’s Health & Wellness Series features Dr. Scott Burgstahler, who will host a presentation on Prostate-Specific Antigen testing.
Dr. Burgstahler will conduct his presentation at 6 p.m. in the hospital conference room, followed by a question-and-answer discussion. According to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, one in six American men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Tonight’s discussion is an excellent opportunity to bring your questions and get answers from a member of our medical staff.
Next Monday, Nov. 1, we’ll kick off American Diabetes Month with our annual Diabetes Day open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Brown House at BGH. If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with diabetes, stop by for information. Area vendors will display the latest diabetic products and services, including insulin delivery devices, meters, medication, diabetic footwear and much more. The BGH diabetes education team will also be on hand to answer your questions and provide information about Medicare coverage of diabetic education and supplies.
Much is changing is healthcare right now, but one thing that remains consistent is Bonner General Hospital’s commitment to care for our community. We’re pleased to make these events available to you free of charge and hope you’ll be able to join us.
