CFHS drops final game to Warriors

| October 30, 2010 7:00 AM

CLARK FORK — It was a tale of two halves for Clark Fork, which ended its season with a 40-20 loss to Kootenai on Senior Night in Clark Fork.

Running back Nate Nesbitt had a monster game, with 212 yards on 31 carries, including two touchdown runs, but the Cats (2-6) could not overcome a 40-0 halftime deficit.

“In the first half we were plagued with penalties, turnovers, guys being out of position and it kind of steamrolled,” said Cats head coach Brian Arthun, who told his seniors they only had two more quarters of football left in their life. “They came out with a different attitude, hit harder, ran harder, played with a lot more passion.”

Brandon Carmen rushed for 133 yards and accounted for three touchdowns to lead the Warriors (5-4), who scored the first six touchdowns of the game before going scoreless in the second half.
