Morris leads Bulldogs to 4-2 win over Hawks

RATHDRUM — Four different Bulldogs found the back of the net, leading the Sandpoint girls soccer team to a 4-2 win in a physical 4A North IEL match Tuesday night at Lakeland High School.

Hannah Greisemer, Sydney Morris and Melinda Van Dyk each scored their first goals of the season, and Meghan Pagano scored her third and dished out two assists to lead the Bulldogs (2-3-2, 1-1 4A IEL) to their second straight win.

“It was an extremely physical game. I’m proud of my players for keeping their composure during some of the fouls,” said Bulldogs head coach Julie Pitre, lauding the play of Morris in the midfield. “She did a great job of distributing the ball from the center.”

Sandpoint is at Central Valley on Thursday.
