Brian Eugene Waggoner was born March 30, 1968, in El Monte, Calif., to Larry and Marilyn Waggoner. Brian grew up in Lake Isabella, Calif. He moved to Southern California, where he met Tanya Battenschlag, they were married on May 1, 1993, in Whittier. Brian and Tanya then moved to Northern California where Brian opened his own business, and he and Tanya began their family. In 2006, Brian, Tanya, and their three boys moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. Brian went to work for the Idaho Department of Transportation doing a job he enjoyed very much. His most recent project was the Sand Creek Byway, a project he was very proud to be a part of.
He loved his family deeply, and he did everything he could to be the best husband, father, and provider possible. And he was always there for others, being the first person to volunteer to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Plus he was a terrific coach who touched the lives of so many young soccer and football players who knew him fondly as “Coach Brian.”He leaves behind a legacy of love in those who survive him: his cherished wife Tanya; their three sons Jacob, Benjamin, and Matthew who were the light of his life all residing in Kootenai, ID; his mother Marilyn Waggoner of Las Vegas, NV; father Larry (Linda) Waggoner of Lake Isabella, CA; his sister Keri Waggoner of Lancaster, CA; In-Laws Nancy (Gary) Waggoner of Shingle Springs, CA and Steve (Karen) Battenschlag of Sandpoint, ID.
