Explain why Sam Owen being logged
To whom it may concern, regarding the Sam Owen forest preserve
I would appreciate you sharing with me the logic of logging of the above forest preserve which is administered by the Forest Service.
I was under the impression that Sam Owen gifted the preserve to the people to enjoy in its natural state without regard to ecological considerations. The maturity of the trees was obviously not a consideration as all sizes were cut. Now, to add insult to injury, I see most of the small fir and cedar have been more recently cut.
The preserve is a mess and has about as much appeal as an empty car lot. I wonder if the decision to log the preserve had been put to a vote by the local population, what would the outcome have been? Regretfully, you will never know how big a mistake was made.
