Community's support made program happen

| September 14, 2010 7:00 AM

Thank you, Bonner County.

Angels Over Sandpoint’s Back to School project was able to provide 867 backpacks and school supplies to area children in need. This would not have been possible without the tremendous support we received from Staples, Wal-Mart and Sandpoint Super Drug, who ordered and provided supplies to us for greatly discounted prices; Coldwater Creek for providing the shopping bags, and Sun Rentals for tables. Thank you to Farmin Stidwell for the use of their gym and Community Action Partnership for all its assistance. We are also appreciative of the grant received from Equinox Foundation and Inland Northwest Community Foundation.

A huge thanks is sent to all the great people of Bonner County who sent us donations so that we could continue our annual program. We live in a wonderful area where so many people give to help others.

And let’s not forget all the volunteers. Without them all the supplies and backpacks would still be sitting in many boxes and undistributed to the children.

Thank you everyone.
