Community, donors made sale a success
Our first yard and craft sale, held Sept. 11, at The Cottage Home and Garden, was a howling success and everyone enjoyed the day of fun and festivities. A huge thank you is due to everyone who helped make it so, from all of the volunteers and the vendors to the bake sale contributors and Alan Ball for his delightful music.
Special thanks go out to George and Linda Anderson of Wild Goose Chase for their generous donation of beautiful antiques, which contributed so much to the success of our venture. Other great donations were given by Terry and Sandi Merwin. Donations are what keep out little Cottage in business and all the proceeds go to Panhandle Special Needs. The participants in work services do all the janitorial work and preparing donated items for sale at The Cottage, which is operated by a dedicated group of volunteers and two staff members from PSNI.
Thanks to the generosity of our community and all the donations received, The Cottage is becoming a favorite shopping spot for all; and provides work training for our disabled participants.
