Take time and vote for local company

I was recently forwarded an e-mail containing a video about a company called Solar Roadways. I learned about their incredible innovation of rebuilding our country’s infrastructure (over time, of course) with solar panels that you can drive on. These structurally-engineered solar road panels would collect energy from the sun and use it to power our homes and businesses. To my surprise, this fantastic company is right in our own backyard in Sagle.

Their extraordinary idea is working toward sustaining a better future for all of us and recently has been entered into a contest. General Electric launched a challenge that awards up to $200 million to help fund the research and development of the winning idea(s). If there’s one thing Sandpoint is great at, it’s giving support as a community when it’s needed.
