LPOHS teachers are not brainwashing us

This letter is in response to Gilbert Barbee. I strongly disagree with the statement made that the teachers are brainwashing the students rather than teaching them.

I happen to be one of the young ladies who sent in a letter expressing my opinion about Superintendent Tom Luna’s education reform bill. My teachers at Lake Pend Oreille High School are not at all brainwashing me, and encourage me to express my own opinion.

I was required to write a letter to the editor for a school project and I was disturbed by Mr. Barbee’s response. This letter, on the other hand, is not for school. I feel my teachers are doing an excellent job at teaching and, from personal experience through the Idaho Virtual Academy, I know that online schooling does not work for students.
