Saudi pilots should not be trained in the U.S.

| April 12, 2011 7:00 AM

It’s been nearly a decade since a pilot from Saudi Arabia crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, but a plan for the U.S. to train Saudi Arabian fighter pilots in Idaho has some people outraged.

As part of an arms deal, we’ve agreed to train Saudi Arabian pilots for at least five years. In December, Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho was chosen for the training.

The training ranges make it the ideal location, said Idaho Sen. James Risch, who, like fellow Idaho politicians Mike Simpson and Mike Crapo, had spoken out against the so-called ground zero mosque in New York City. No hypocrisy here. American will die and nobody cares.

Do we really want Saudi fighter pilots flying over our heads. Are you kidding me?

These are the kinds of things I will remember come election time of our so-called patriotic politicians.
