Wampus Cat golfers tee off season in Priest River

PRIEST RIVER — Ryan Barnett and David Thibault each shot a nine-hole score of 78, and Paige Gear carded a 71 to lead the Wampus Cats golf team in their season opener Tuesday at the Priest River Invitational at the Ranch Club Golf Course.
Senior Max Salesky shot a 40 to lead the host Spartans to the team title with a score of 173. Tuesday morning at the Ranch Club Golf Course.
None of the other Wampus Cat golfers were able to complete a nine hole score, but K.C. MacDonald was simply pleased that his team could finally log some actual course time.
Clark Fork is at Wallace on April 18.
