Kailang leads Cats past Tigers

MULLAN — Sophomore Dimi Kailang scored 14 points and Brocklynn Thornton added 13 to lead the Clark Fork girls to a 45-23 win over Mullan in North Star League girls basketball action Thursday night at the Mullan Pavilion.

Niki Axtman contributed a solid performance with 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists to lead the Tigers in defeat.

“They (Mullan) played a good game for having only five girls,” said Clark Fork coach Dexter Vogel. “We came out sluggish after that long bus ride but finally  got in the game in the second half.”

The Clark Fork girls host Stillwater Christian on Thursday.

n Wampus Cat boys fall to Mullan

Nate Nesbitt scored nine points to lead the Clark Fork boys in defeat, falling 48-26 to Mullan in North Star League action Thursday at the Mullan Pavilion.

The Wampus Cats (4-8, 1-5 NSL) host Wallace on Saturday night.
